Chicago Trade
Take on Shaw's Contract so the Blackhawks aren't sitting in LTIR all season and can accrue some cap space at the deadline. Strome needs a new home, he's not even rostered last time I looked. His value can't be that high but I would take a risk on him.

Florida Trade
Vatrano has scored, or been on pace for in the shortened seasons, 20 goals the last 3 seasons. Florida has him on the fourth line, with their recent acquisitions of Bennett and Reinhart, and their young guys stepping up he would be expendable. They get a player better suited for the third and fourth line plus a fourth round pick. Vatrano could play anywhere in the middle six and could even slot in on the top line here and there.

That's fair, I like Vatrano and feel like he should get more time. I figured Namestnikov could take his roll, but I don't blame a team like Florida trying to compete for holding onto him

Yeah, Vatrano has pretty good value. He's one of the reasons why FLA has 4 effective lines. Would be tough to pry away.

The Strome trade has merit for both teams. For CHI, they probably need at least a low second, or a B prospect with a 3rd. For DET, I'm not sure Suter is your 2C, but I believe he's a top 6 player that needs a strong C. Rass and Veleno are coming to take on the 3C/4C/Mid 6 roles.
