When you're offering 5 or 6 pieces for one player, you know you're not offering any quality. The Jets wouldn't be looking at moving Connor, but if they did they would want quality back not a quantity of filler pieces.

Intriguing offer, but Jets go with how hot hot Connor and or ehlers are, steady play of scheifele and Dubois. But two vital cogs are ehlers and Connor. Both longtermed too, so would absolutely have to blow the doors off to sell. Probably head for rebuild if they start moving on from Connor or scheifele or ehlers

Not really. It equates to a meh, top 6 winger that only shows up once every 10 games or so, a center prospect that is nice, but not something Winnipeg needs if moving a 30 goal winger when the Jets have Perfetti and Lucius in the system and a couple firsts that won't help for 3 or 4 years. How does that benefit Winnipeg now or make them a better team now?

Like I said, when you are offering 4 or 5 pieces for one, you know you're not offering anywhere near the quality required or you obviously wouldn't be offering that much. Teams don't want 4 or 5 quarters when trading a dollar that they have no reason or desire to move, they want a dollar.

I understand Connor is a top 5 winger imo

Jets need of Connor is greater than the need to add physically gifted forward to top 6. Jets closer to a all in, over a rebuild so prospects and picks aren’t as valued as they were in past or into the future. IMO but possibly in 2/3 years the tune will change.
