I just posted a trade for Hertl in exchange for a 1st, a 5th, Khudobin and Dellandrea and got "rejected".

it got rejected because we don't need Khudobin anymore, but thats a pretty fair deal.

A simple no will do here.

that being said the Wild don't do that unless sharks retain half, and the Hertl trade is a massive underpayment.
we should get more than what Arizona got for Dvorak.

My guess is that Hertl's value is around a 1st round pick + A decent prospect or a grade A+ prospect + 2nd or 3rd round pick. This would be a little more than what the Habs paid for Dvorak.

Khudobin could be flipped to the Habs or another team in need of goaltending. In other words, this could be a 3 team trade.

That's my thought as well. or some variation of this offer.
that's why I've posted a lot of NY rangers trading Chytil 1st, and a 2nd.

The Tomas Hertl trade is a royal joke, He's worth way more then that. And Evander Kane trade Minnesota 100% declines. No one wants that locker room cancer around.

I can see that, I did an en-facto 3 team trade with Hertl to NY and flipped the assets to Buffalo plus our own for Eichel.

someone will give Kane a chance again, cause he has proven to be a top line 30 goal scorer with an edge, and he works for about 2 years at each stop before the locker room sours on him, but your not getting anything in return and your probably going to have to retain to trade him.

A rebuilding team might take a chance on him, San Jose would need to take back another bad contract. Not sure i'd give up more then a conditional 7th round pick for him at the most. he just needs to get his life squared away first.

I agree with that, sharks wont get much other than cap relief in a trade, maybe a 4th and a b grade prospect with us retaining 2 mil for him.

Most sharks beat writers believe the sharks asking price for Hertl would be a 1st, a high end center prospect that is close to NHL ready. Though he's not on the block and allegedly never had been.

Then you see realize why Evander would be traded and it makes any argument you could make for this trade completely nonsensical. No one wants/will give up positive value for Evander Kane, period.

And that Hertl trade is just atrocious for San Jose. To put it simply, he's worth A LOT more than that

GMs lose their mind at the trade deadline and overpay if they think that's the piece that brings home a Cup, so to be fair I don't know how much term vs. rental has anything to do with what players can fetch in return. Also to be fair, Arizona had Bergevin where they wanted him because he was desperate to make a move so he could decide whether to match Carolina's OS or not. I really wonder if he would have matched it had he not been able to acquire a replacement at a comparable cost.

Kane….. might as well vomit on someone’s locker room. The culture overhaul the wild has gone through getting rid of staal, koivu, Parise and suter would be totally undone by getting kane. No team except a serious contender will give him a shot. And no front office with a young team will want him.
