Reuniting The Old Guard At The Deadline

Créé par: Bbpagewolf
Équipe: 2021-22 Penguins de Pittsburgh
Date de création initiale: 26 oct. 2021
Publié: 27 oct. 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Seeing that this is quite possibly the Penguins last chance to truly compete and they very well know that, I see them being very active at the deadline and going all out, including overpaying a bit.

Well, it does succeed in making the team worse. Like you realize the Kessel is not good anymore, right?

I realize Kessel sucks now, but the Penguins probably don’t. You know they’ll cling to the past like a leach and Brian Burke is a senile old fool who can’t recognize the modern game.

Lol.

Why don’t the Pens just dump S.Poulin as well.??

And just dump our 2024 and 2025 1st round picks too. Along with the 2022 and 2023 1st round picks u have the Pens dumping for rentals.??

Seeing as the Pens probably have one of the deepest teams in the NHL right now. Full of NHL level depth even in the AHL.

Completely healthy Pens team:

Guentzel/Sid/Rust
Zucker/Geno/Kappy
OConnor/J.Carter/Heinen
ZAR/Blueger/McGinn

And still D.Simon, E-Rod, Lafferty, B.Boyle, Angello, Zohorna all NHL level depth. And S.Poulin, N.Legare, Hallander, Puustinen, Bjorkqvist all playing in the AHL, close to or NHL ready.

And D-Pairings:

Dumoulin/Letang
Pettersson/Marino
Matheson/Friedman

And the Pens have Riikola, Ruhwedel, PO-J, Cam Lee, all NHL level depth.

And Jarry and DeSmith. And Louis Domingue is an NHL level goalie playing in the AHL. Along with Filip Lindberg who’s been standing on his head so far this season too (2 games, 2 wins, 0.98 GAA, .968 SV%)

I think if the Pens do anything. Maybe a 3rd pairing RHD or back-up/1B goalie.

Hextall/Burke have been very adamant about not trading draft capital and restocking the system with “their type of players”.

And so far they have stuck to that. And regurgitate that answer whenever asked. So far, only moving a 2022 3rd and 2023 4th for Jeff Carter(was a conditional 4th and 5th but he’s already played enough games make it the 3rd and 4th).

You realize the Penguins are the team that traded him away to Arizona? And that the same coach who wanted him gone is still the head coach of the team?

Also that Hextall is the GM and not burke.

You realize fleury has been pretty awful. Why are we sending more than good goalies would get? And Kessel isn’t the Kessel we are trading for and saying Burke won’t evolve with the game then trading for Kessel goes against that.
