thats just not enough for the kings to trade kopitar unless he drops off, in which case the rangers wouldnt want to take on his contract. the kings certainly arent retaining 2.5, which is definitely a lot for a team on the up with a ton of contracts that will need to be extended before 24-25. also afaik kopitar has a NTC and he doesnt wanna leave LA.

secondly, SJS are not handing out a 4th to take on goodrows cap hit, if the rangers want to clear him out, theyd have to look elsewhere, and theyd probably need to send along some incentives. this also applies to nemeth. yes the habs do have defense problems, but taking on nemeths cap hit and giving away a pick to do so is not gonna solve them.

Thanks for putting in some effort this time, the main point of this is kopitar so all the other trade can be changed to other teams or whatever. Also kopitar has a M-NTC can be trade to 7 teams and if la want to keep adding top prospects and can’t make the playoffs and kopitar wants to go to another team for a chance at winning, I think they’re are more than 7 teams he’d be willing to go to. Also defenseman can play on their off side.
