Dermott is probably a little too eager to take chances, play tight gap control, engage puck carriers too aggressively, and makes pinches when he doesn't have coverage to back him up. But those aspects of his game are what make his style of play extremely effective that consistently tilt's the ice in the Leafs favor when he is on the ice. His ability to tighten the gap at the blueline keeps opponents out of the dzone and his ability to move the puck (he is an excellent skater) he can get the puck out of the zone quickly and helps maintain offensive zone possession.

I think your bang on, it’s probably a 3rd + prospect. But IMO with Rielly’s impending FA departure I don’t see the Leafs trading Travis anytime soon. But if this brutal start continues, who the hell knows what the my do 🤷‍♂️

I wouldnt say he has trouble. He's been fine and is still very young. Dont forget Dman take longer to blossom. Not only that, but he makes 1.5 mill. He is pretty valuable alone for that. TOR needs a 4dman more like a Manson to replace Holl
