Everybody can be traded. But I don't think Edmonton has what the price would be. If you ask me, of the big 4 in Toronto, Nylander is the 2nd most important to keep around. He is consistently really good no matter where he is. He works very hard and refuses to give up, regardless of the situation. These are intangibles that can be difficult to come by. Add on that he is on a fantastic contract, and you have a player that has a very high trade value.
From the Oilers, it would cost RNH, Broberg and a 3rd. I don't even think Toronto considers this, though. RNH is similar to what they already have, and doesn't necessarily fill a need. If they wanted to make this trade go through, they would need a player elite at crashing the nets, driving the corner very hard, and gathering any pucks Matthews doesn't score to continue the offensive pressure. I don't think Edmonton has this.
