You clearly haven't been watching Bear play this season so far. He has been excellent defensively and has broken up quite a few good scoring chances from opposing teams and won quite a few footraces. 4 mil for Bear is perfect.

A 1st for someone who is currently the Canes 3rd pairing RD? Carolina match it easily, you'd be looking at a number closer to the KK number for a 1st and a 3rd for it to actually work

These pick for pick trades away from the entry draft are just not going to happen. If Ottawa is going to trade that VAN 3rd back, it would cost more than a worse 3rd and a near worthless 6th. You'll need to give up a player, and one that Ottawa would actually want, to even begin creating a deal.

I don’t really know a lot about him, I was just looking for a youngish 2nd round pick, but being a centre made him more attractive with the Sens needs in that area. It was just a thought.
