The habs would probably take that even without retention.

Ottawa Passes, the parts that don't fit needs to add up to trade Value for Brown.

While Russel is an upgrade of some of the older Vet D that Sens have, there is a surplus there with already having Zaitsev, Holden, J Brown & Del Zotto, also Russel is left shot and sens need a Right Hand shot if anything. Now if Edm took say Del Zotto as a way for sens to get out of his contract that helps.

Ott doesn't need Turris he won't be able to keep up with younger players like Formenton on the third line. Again already a surplus of similar bottom-six Centers with White, Tierney, Paul, Kelley, Shaw.

Benson is a good prospect but Sens are WAY too overloaded on left-shot Forwards at NHL and prospect level, they need Right-hand shots.

Lavoie fills the need that Sens could use in the prospect pool & the pic helps.

To get Brown from OTT I would think the return should be
Yamamoto (to play RW with Stuzle), Lavoie, and 2nd round pick

No, we don't.

This is a classic case of lots of quantity but not enough quality.

This is what quality looks like for Connor Brown IMO.

I think Ottawa would pass. Turris and Russell are throw aways. Good chance Benson doesn’t make any significant impact in the NHL. Lavoie is a great piece but a 2024 2nd likely doesn’t make an impact until 2026 at the earliest.

Ottawa would get much better value keeping Brown, especially on the contract that he’s on. I’d pass.

OTT receive quality in Lavoie and a 2nd rounder
The rest is throw in

1. A 2nd rounder for 2024

2. We don't want "the rest thrown in".

Thank you for admitting it's quantity over quality.

3. Blake Coleman is a better comparable to Connor Brown than Viktor Arvidsson.

This type of return is the starting bid:

https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/308013

4. With that said, we have no intention on underselling Connor Brown, let alone for scraps.

There is nothing you can do to convince us otherwise.

Thank you and have a nice day awesome face

Lavoie is a terrific asset, and a 2nd is a high pick.

Combine that with Connor Browns age and contract status, OTT is making out like bandits in this trade.

Turris is C depth as OTT dumps Tierney somewhere at the deadline. Benson is servicable

1. It's a 2nd for 2024

2. Ottawa is not making out like bandits by any stretch of the imagination.

3. Turris can't even be claimed off waivers.

4. Benson is not serviceable because we have at least 7 different LWs who are better than him.
