Just read an article saying something similar in June, the source was a an NHL executive who had knowledge they were asking for "a top 4 dman and top 6 center both younger then 25 along with a 1st rounder and various prospects." Then in July Renaud Lavoie of TVA sports said "If they trade him they want four pieces that are first round picks,” he said. “Or players that are playing if not in the NHL or elsewhere like the NCAA – that were first round picks and are having success and not struggling.”. The ask is dropping, rightfully so, he's an awesome player but with so much uncertainty nobody in their right mind would give up the original ask, my guess is it will continue to drop.
