At this point, I want Strome traded for the sake of the player... he could make Chicago look really stupid for trading him and I think that generally moves us towards dismissals in the org.

the concept is strome has played with mcdavid and needs a fresh start, he is also excellent on the faceoff dot which is helpful for an oilers team that has struggled in the faceoff circle.

Chicago gets Yamamoto who is responsible defensively (which chicago drastically needs rn) and is on a good contract, it also trades a center for 2 wingers.

benson needs a fresh opportunity with a new org. he can join his old teammate caleb jones.

Yeah no doubt. Strome isn't a elite or franchise type of player, but with compliments on his wings he's shown he can be a .60ppg player. Chicago, who is has what....2 goals in 4 games of 5 on 5 play trying to say Strome doesn't fit their model? What model?

this is so true, is he a guy who can carry some lesser players? likely no. But is he a guy who can play a skilled game with elite players, yes.
