Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Cap is widely expected to increase about 2 mil.
Kane is gone and the way the Sharks announced the suspension it looks like they are searching for a way to void his deal.
Kane gone combined with a solid season from the sharks leads Hertl to do another shorter term deal with the sharks (he has mentioned doing 2-3 year deals to keep his options open as he wants to compete for a cup)
sharks first 2 games show an improved offensive output (we will see if it stays) I'm thinking this team is on the upswing and we have a plethora of young prospects that are anywhere from NHL ready to 2-3 years out.
Nieto and Bonino could be on their way out to give younger players a chance but I like keeping their vet presence for one more season.
Bonino for one more year gives Bordeleau one year in the minors before he is or 3C in 22/23
Labanc is traded to open up the window to pick up Pavelski and give him the chance to retire a shark (he has 2 more solid production years in him from what I can see but at his age we do a year to year deal)
Pavelski gives our RW prospects (Weisblatt & Coe) a year or two more to mature and gain experience
Leonard takes the 3LW spot next year with his solid D and solid offensive upside

Merkley cracks the lineup after a strong year in the AHL, and we keep Vlasic 1 more year to work with Merkley before we buy him out.

Reimer and Hill for 1 more year unless Melnichuyk is deemed ready to back up hill next year.

Taxi squad (I know there wont be one obviously)
just designates the next group of prospects who are closer to NHL ready.
Bordeleau will be 3C in 23/24
Weisblatt will be 3RW/4RW at some point in 22/23 or at the latest to start 23/24
Raska Coe Robins will be fighting for spots in anywhere from 22/23-23/24, and by 24/25 either lineup Locks or solid trade pieces.
Hattaka and Kinazev will be similar, most likely one will make the club full time sooner than later or they will be added to trades.
Melnichuyk will be backup in 22/23 or 23/24 depending on Reimer.

Where did you hear the cap would increase by about $2M? That's the first time I've heard this story. I always thought it was only going up by about one million.

your right they are saying min 1 mil as the conservative estimate, 3 mil as an aggressive estimate. I went in between.
either way were still under the cap here.

I think Raska and Nieto will split time next year at the least. He could probably get a look this year or if we some how make the playoffs in a depth role.

i like Raska in a bottom 6 roll sooner than later, but he is 20 and could use a little more AHL time. but if he pushes his way in i won’t complain!
