Watching Jets-Preds highlights, it strikes me again how underrated Kyle Connor is offensively. He's a beautiful passer with a terrific shot and deadly one-timer who seems to be in the middle of everything Winnipeg does with the puck. He's definitely a liability defensively, but man, if he's not on the USA's PP unit come February, something's seriously wrong with the higher-ups (which would make perfect sense, seeing as how Seth Jones, quite possibly the most overrated player in the league, was one of the first freaking three players picked for the team...)

Does anyone have any news on when Varlamov will make his season debut? I've been sitting on him in my fantasy league for quite a while now and I'm curious to see when he could make his return since he's already been practicing with the team.

That was a terrific 3rd period. Sharks are playing with confidence and they look rejuvenated this season. Maybe they'll be the surprise team out west.

See who's available on waivers. Kyrou, Buchnevich, Zuccarello, and Dustin Brown all have high ceilings. The first 3 also play for good teams, which helps with plus/minus. I doubt you'll get a significant upgrade if you try to trade him, but it's worth a shot.

It's a solid trade. Dobson is off to a nice start and he plays for a good team. Giroux is definitely an upgrade over Karlsson, imo. He gets a lot more SOG and he has a higher ceiling offensively.

You throw around top 5 and top 10 a lot without realizing how many better players/lines are ahead of guys (Montreal’s former top line as a top 5 line, Gallagher as a top 10 RW, this, etc. and all of those are strictly not true). Is Pettersson better than McDavid, MacKinnon, Crosby, Draisaitl, Matthews, Point, or Barkov? Cuz that’s 7 guys that I don’t think he’s better than, and I don’t think it’s close. Could legitimately throw guys like Eichel and Malkin into the mix if you’re talking about previous seasons, maybe even get to the guys like ROR, Barzal, Aho, Stamkos, Scheifele, Tavares, but this is that tier where I’d have him, MAYBE 10th that year. There’s an argument for Petey being a (barely) top 10 centre in 19-20. There’s no shot he was top 5, and he’s probably not top 10 now.

Bertuzzi's a good player and he's only missing 9 games this year from all this covid vaccine stuff. I would have sent capfan2121 an offer if someone hadn't beaten me to it.
