I feel like Fox, Makar, Hedman, McAvoy are usually the consensus top 4 D and then you add the likes of Pulock, Pelech, Pietrangelo, Theodore, Ekblad, Weegar, Heiskanen, etc

IMO the top 5 is this:
Fox, Makar, Hedman, McAvoy(OvErPaId) and Petro, the order doesn't really matter cause you can't really go wrong, they're all great options

JFresh used to take his stats from Evolving Hockey but I'm pretty sure they had to tell him to stop because he was "sharing" the stats for free. He's working with Patrick Bacon now, and I don't trust his models.

That’s correct - I like Jfresh but I feel like EH is a more accurate representation of a players impact , Bacons model puts too much emphasis on finishing.

They all have their pros and cons tbh. EH have a tendency to overrate depth players by not putting enough emphasis on QOC, while Dom's has trouble taking defense into account.

Yep, there's always something about analytics, which is why you should always mix the eye test, with stats and advanced stats/analytics to form opinions on players
