Putting Stutzle on the third line just doesn't look right.

But hey!

If it wins games, nothing else matters!

Hopefully Tierney can continue his early stretch of good play. Apparently he played last year with a back injury, which really impacted him. He got healthy and lost 12 lbs this off season, and so far has looked much more like the guy who was a shoe in for 40 points a season. I don't hate him with Stützle as much as I would have if he was still playing like last season, but they still need someone better. Shaw also isn't really gonna cut it on a long term basis.

I think those top 3 lines basically play the same mins. It's the 4th line that sees little to no time. Would love the Sens to try Kelly or Sanford as the 4c because thats a better option than continuing with Shaw.

Agreed on Shaw. Once Watson comes back, he's either scratched or sent down/waived. 4th line becomes Sanford-Kelly-Watson. He's shown he can keep up, just no... useful hockey sense, if that makes sense... Both Kelly and Sanford are pretty straight line players and you know what you get. Shaw is still an enigma for me.

If they are looking for more offence, I can see Stu taking Paul's spot on that 2nd line. I think D.J is comfortable running all 3 of these lines. But yeah, wins count for something more. It's only a matter of time before Stutzle breaks out, though. He creates so much and its so fun to watch. Putting him and Formenton together is going to create a lot of problems for a 3rd line defensive pairing.

Would you prefer Tkachuk be on the "3rd line" instead? It's called depth - it's a good problem to have. And people need to lose the 1st line, 2nd line, 3rd line titles with the sens. They just roll lines 5 on 5. Timmy will be first unit powerplay so his minutes will still reflect top 6 ice time

Problem is Kelly is not a centre. If he was, Shaw probably wouldn't be here, but as it sits, Shaw is probably their best call up option rn. They need to bring someone in.

I would prefer Nick Paul on the 3rd line instead.

As much as I love Nick Paul, he's no Brady Tkachuk or Timmy Stutzle.

And yes, I know what depth is.

I'm not an idiot.

That said, if we continue winning games with Paul-Pinto-Brown as our top line and our worst players compete like our best, then keep on trucking!

Because as long as we're winning, nothing else matters smile
