They wouldn't. This is all really bad.

The Seattle deal is abysmal for Detroit. The Nashville deal is poor asset management for Detroit and bad for Nashville giving up Ekholm and the Montreal deal just makes zero sense either way.

That's your take away from this? Why is Detroit giving their ticket to the Shane Wright sweepstakes for a 31yr defenseman?

Suter played well in his 1st season and he's looked good in the 2 games he has played and Wings fans are excited about him coming to Detroit. He also played with Fabbri and Bertuzzi in Guelph.

I do like the Kadri signing but with his history chances aren't very good that Yzerman signs him.
