You do still realize that Jack Eichel has to have neck surgery right? And it will be close to a 3 to 4 month healing process. And there's noway long term that Washington can afford Eichel. And why would Buffalo even want Mantha?

why wouldn't they want Mantha? He can fetch a 1st + or they can play him...seems like a silly question to ask. Capitals are deep enough they could make a push for the playoffs without him and when he's ready he could be on the roster... even him on LTIR would open up some room for the Capitals to add other players or not trade Eller which would also be huge for them

In your trade replace Mantha with Oshie, unless you value a 34 yo Oshie over a 27 yo Mantha.
I think Oshie would be great on the Sabres but I also think Mantha is the better of the two..

BTW, yes Sabre fans are incorrigible.

TBH i value Oshie more than Mantha. Mantha was a panik (lol) move and the Capitals shouldnt have made that trade imo
