Shaw is on career ending LTIR and has zero value, Both Strome and Namestnikov's value are no more then a 3rd rounder. This is more then a fair offer.

Shaw helps teams hit the cap floor when his salary is already covered; that is what they are referring to. In other words, the Hawks don't need to move him and shouldn't have negative value towards a trade.

Not just hit the cap floor but his LTIR gives them cap forgiveness. They can go over the cap with him on the roster.
