Oh gotcha. Honestly I like Barron a lot. Think he’ll succeed in the bottom six. Granted it sucks they screwed up the Kravtsov situation, part of it falls on Kravtsov for not going down and putting in the work like Chytil did. Even Byfield who was a 2nd overall pick played in the AHL to develop. The fact that Kravtsov doesn’t want to makes me think good riddance. Completely sick of these guys being entitled and not wanting to get sent down. If they really didn’t wanna get sent down they should’ve played better in the role given and force the coaches hand instead of being immature. This was the exact same problem with Lias Andersson. I hope they avoid drafting guys from Europe for a while, cause it hasn’t worked out great (jury is still out on Kakko and Chytil because they need to exhibit more consistency).

Petty?

As in not putting Kravtsov onto the roster given that Kakko is out on IR?

Kravtsov was offered the top 6 RW position however he declined and flew back to Chelyabinsk, Russia, to wait for a trade to be made, so I would argue that Kravtsov is the one acting petty right now and not the other way around.

He’s weak minded. At this point I’d prefer we didn’t have that kind of attitude around the other young guys cause it’s like poison.

I decided to dive deeper into the Kravtsov situation and Drury fired the head of European scouting for the Rangers (he disagreed with the Andersson pick also hated the Kravtsov pick) Kravtsov has also had some deeper issues with the organization allegedly Kravtsov got into an altercation with Kaapo and Laf saying that he deserved the spot over Kaapo and things got heated when Laf defended Kaapo stating work ethic and both players got hot under the collar and Kreider along with Goodrow had to break things up before the turned worse.

Damn if that’s the case then I don’t want his ass anywhere near this team again. Kakko has worked his ass off to improve and be a positive even if the scoring isn’t there yet. The fact that Kreider and Goodrow had to step in and Laf defended Kakko says it all to me. He’s gotta go and there’s no doubt about it in my mind. Unfortunate it couldn’t work out, but they just need to get rid of him now.

Better in the ****ing role? Bro Lias played with Brendan Smith and Micheal Haley

He held up his end, he went to the K, improved his overall game, came back to the NHL, was treated like garbage (awful linemates no PP time, granted different regime, but Drury was still there so he had to have SOME kind of pulse on the situation) and never said a word, then you hold him out if the prospects tournament (awful idea if you weren't sold on him as a prospect) and then you play him on the 3rd line all of camp and preseason and he never said anything was wrong with that, and all of a sudden he doesn't have a spot on the team over the likes of Hajek/Hunt and "he was expecting a top 6 spot to be handed to him"?

He complained and got what he wanted which was a ticket out. He was a bum. Just cause your line mates aren’t great doesn’t mean you don’t work and push to be your best and eventually get a larger role. He didn’t do that and cried like a child instead of a professional. Dude was a waste of a pick, who was mentally weak.

I mean he seems pretty entitled to me. He has yet to look great at any point in time. He won’t go to the AHL to improve and develop. I say good riddance. That’s not the kinda guy I’d want on the roster cause he sounds like a bigger distraction than he’s worth.

Literally impossible to anything with a depth defenseman playing forward and a useless way below replacement level forward, put him in positions to succeed or don't even bother, thats how teams ruin careers

He didn’t want to go to the AHL what else were they gonna do with him. He literally left and went home mid season. He never gave it a chance and wonders why he didn’t get more opportunities. He didn’t earn them or deserve them considering his crappy attitude to everything.

Going to the KHL was literally his contractual right, calling it "running away" is just not true

I don’t see how he could know his worth and if he couldn’t grab a wide open top 6 role this year. They literally tossed Buch for pennies on the dollar to give the kid every opportunity to get a top 6 spot. He literally had to beat Gauthier, Blais, Rooney and Reaves. The fact that he couldn’t do that is pathetic. I see no issue with sending him to the AHL for part of the year to ply his craft in the meantime and then come up. But what did he do, absolutely nothing but complain. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

I’m concerned with the lack of concern you have in thinking his actions haven’t been an impediment to his own career development.

They thought Kreider would be more successful in the top 6 playing a position hes never played before than Kravtsov, they clearly never thought that much of him
