If Tavares could finish Marner would’ve had at least 2 assists last night he’s been fine, creating lots of chances, the production will come. He’s never been a goal scorer so he needs his line mates to convert those chances. Feel like most of his hate comes from his big cap hit. “Not an 11 million dollar player” “overpaid” “1 assist for 11mil”. They need to let it go, there’s no changing it now, would it be great if he made less? Absolutely, he’s still a great player though.

In my personal opinion, All I thought Toronto needed at the time was an elite 2-way defenseman, fill the holes in the bottom 6, and find their goalie. Not another massive offensive weapon with an equally as large price tag.
