Ho-Sang really was not really given a good opportunity with the Isles due to Trotz's distrust of rookies
I think hes gonna be a rebound story
Cause as we saw there is still so much talent yet was never used correctly.
I think there is more to that than just Trotz's distrust of rookies.
There is a significant personality component in this as well.
1. After being drafted in the 1st round in 2014, Ho-Sang was late for his first training camp with the Islanders on the very first day.
He was sent back to junior and told not to come back until the next training camp 12 months later.
2. He was placed on waivers on at least two different occasions.
3. He never received anything more than 1 million per year on any contract extension.
4. Ho-Sang wanted to wear #66 for his jersey number one time.
Because his ego was so big that he thought he was as great as Mario Lemieux.
Lou Lamoriello then had to straighten him out.

5. Although he went back to his hometown of Toronto on a PTO with the Leafs, he has so far failed to receive a SPC.
Capfriendly has since listed Ho-Sang as "inactive".

There is no doubt in my mind that Josh Ho-Sang is a bust.
No doubt in my mind.
