i would be shocked if McTavish or Lapierre are available for WJ.... actually thinking out loud more McTavish. i think the Ducks push for a playoff spot and i think this kid is really really good. i thought he was easily the best player in the last draft

I hope they let him play tho cause I’m sure he’s dreamed of being on the world junior team and he was a monster at the u18 tournament with bedard and Wright but yeah I have a couple mutual friends with mctavish (he’s from my hometown) and yeah they said he was told he’s gonna play games this year the day he was drafted so yeah they probably wont loan him but it would be nice also mason is a massive party animal lol

As a Ducks fan, I'd be shocked if McTavish is up for more than 9 games. 2 pts in his debut certainly shows a lot of promise, but I just can't imagine that they'd blow a year of control on him yet. That being said, I'd say there's a near-zero percent chance that Drysdale is available for the WJC. One of those "Been there, done that" scenarios, where there's no sense sending him off the roster to potentially get Dach-ed, and risk losing him for a big length of time.

I do think you're right though-The Ducks could certainly surprise some teams this year, and the Pacific is a pretty bad division...I absolutely do not think they're going to the playoffs, but I could certainly see a scenario where they're at least in the hunt late in the season.

One has to believe that Cossa will likely make the team, he might even be the starting goalie.
