Stop trading Zucker. The season just started. Namestikov is also a downgrade to Zucker

Zucker doesnt have a spot on this roster where he can perform up to his contract.

When? First 15 games before covid doesnt matter because he will never be back on Sids wing as long as Jake is healthy.

Brian Boyle will be a mainstay in the lineup and play all 82 games. You heard it here first

He played good in the preseason and had the most shots last night for the pens.

You're talking to someone who went to a pens preseason game this year and have watched every game.

Same here (season ticket holder) . Went to every home pre season game except the kids one and watched every game.

Don't get me wrong, he is a very hard worker, but Id really like to upgrade to a better finisher. Maybe we've been spoiled with Neal Kessel etc.

So you of all people should know that he fires pucks at the net. Alsonhes having a bounce back 100%. Covid ruined his year last year and it ruined lots of others too. It's not his fault when the year before he was just under a point per game. He will have a bounce and and has already looked really solid

I figured even if he plays well a 3rd is all we'd get for Namestnikov at the TDL. So I agree if Pittsburgh want to give up a 3rd now it works for me. But they aren't going to fit under the cap so if they want to give us Zucker it's better than some of the options.

I believe the phrase is never look a gift horse in the mouth.

I just don't want anything to do with that contract, we have enough wingers within the organization that would benefit more from that roster spot next season. Plus it would be doing the Penguins too much of a favour to take him. Maybe if the return was a little better I would agree to it. A third just doesn't make me want to take Zucker, even though its more than what Namestnikov would probably return.

I think part of the issue with Zucker is him knowing he has to play more of a defensive role. Mainly because Malkin is lazy defensively.
People wanted him to come in looking like Kessel. But that line didn't work in the end because no one played defense.
It is what it is. He's not a bad player. But you can't expect him to be a 30 goal guy while knowing he has to be more responsible on the ice.
