none of that is true.
This is their first year at the AHL level. It's not like they are 22 or 23 and still not NHL players.
The vast majority of that draft hasn't done a damn thing yet. A lot of it has frankly underperformed.
Look at the top 3. Dach, not great so far, was injured most of last year. Kakko hasn't done much. Then there is Hughes who has underperformed although every NJ fans want to claim he's a franchise player, well we'll see how much they think that when it comes to the $ amount of his next contract. Then reality will set in for them that he shouldn't be paid like one because he isn't one.
That whole draft class needs 1-2 years to really see where it's going to be. Calling guys from the lower half of the draft "fallen" in their first ahl season is absurd.
