Quoting: palhal
Don't know why you say Engvall has no value to the Hawks. His offensive stats aren't similar to both Strome and Johnson who make 3,0 and 5,0m, and Engvall makes 1.2m. But if the Hawks want to pay those two guys, Engvall money, so be it.
It's an Engvall, Kerfoot and Abramov for Strome and Hagel. Ok I get the Hawks don't want to trade Hagel but geez the the trade isn't one sided at all.
It's Anderson is the AHLer...so there is no value for him included in the trade.
Career Stats:
Dylan Strome age 24, GP = 204, PPG = .60
Pierre Envall age 25, GP = 90, PPG = .30
Clearly Strome, 1 year younger, has produced a double the rate offensively in more then twice as many games then Engvall...it's not close to same they are similar so not sure why you made that comment. Further, Strome had a dismal season last year largely due to a undiagnosed concussion that once diagnosed kept him out of the lineup for a couple weeks plus.
Tyler Johnson age 31, GP = 589, PPG = .61
Again not close to Engvall career wise, that said he was in a reduced role in Tampa as a 4th liner the last 2 years not because Johnson wasn't producing at a .6ppg rate prior but because Tampa was/is so good they simply have younger better players ahead of him on the depth chart; they won back to back cups for good reason.
Bottom line, Engvall is not interesting other then a bottom 6 depth role player which are easy to find in the NHL; a .30ppg player.
Hagel > Engvall
Strome > Kerfoot
Abramov and Anderson I'm not sure tips the scales to make sense for the Hawks.
