Easy decline from Buffalo. Holloway for Peterka maybe, but even then I'd be very wary.

Swap out Holloway for Bouchard and it's a deal for Ottawa.

Huh? You'd be wary of making a deal that sees you trade the #34 pick for the #14 pick straight up? Not a chance Edmonton thinks about that counter offer even for a second. tears of joy

You're overpaying for both Stützle and Peterka IMO.

No way. Sens can't afford to trade who should be their best forward for years

And I wouldn't do that (Bouchard + 2 late first). Bouchard is also not the type of RD the Sens will need. They need someone in the mold of Cernak or Parayko

Really like Holloway but no chance I'm doing that.

I don't think the Sens should do it either, I'm just saying that the difference between Holloway and Stützle is not two 1st round picks. That's an overpay.

You're overpaying for both Stützle and Peterka IMO. IMO it all depends on needs. This year Yamamoto would most likely outperform Peterka, the Sabre fans think in two years Peterka will be better than Yamamoto.
Considering the lack of depth and If the Sabres were in a win now mode they may consider Yamamoto for Peterka,
I think the Sabres are trying to get a chance the golden ring this year, so this is a no, we do not want to make that team better this year.
Let me add, I have not watched Yamamoto, but I have watched Peterka in the prospect challenge and the preseason games this year.
He is fast, he has a hard and accurate shot, over two years of drafts, he was beyond a doubt the best player taken by Adams (Power may be better but I have not watched him play).
Buffalo was given a gift in the second round last year, IDK how he lasted that long, they made a great decision to move up.
The bottom line, I like the future of Peterka more than I like the current Yamamoto.

That would be very hard to say either way

Only 1 draft removed from being picked 3rd OA (Stutzle) and 14th OA (Holloway)

What would have been the price to pay to move from 14th to 3rd OA in that draft?

And the 2 firsts are likely very late if you add Stutzle on his ELC to that Oilers team. I mean, he's still a bit raw but playing with Draisaitl would develop him right away lol

That being said, value isn't terrible at all, but yeah it's not a move the Sens should make.

You highlighted the wrong text. And anyways, Oilers are in Win Now mode, they aren't trading cheap top-6 talent for future hopefuls.

That's completely irrelevant and illogical. It's easy to go back and cherry pick a player who hasn't turned out as good as they were at 18 and another who is better than they were at 18 - years later. These kids are just 1 year from their draft day and Holloway has taken major steps forward in that year. He's probably a top-10 pick if a re-draft was held today - he's basically untouchable and Edmonton wouldn't even pick up the phone on that offer. tears of joy

OK what text should I have highlighted?
Also, then we agree, the trade will not happen.
Is it hard for you to agreed with people?
You have commented on my posts many times and pick some nuanced fault to highlight, as you did here.

EDIT: let me add, where someone was drafted as a reason to make a trade is "completely irrelevant and illogical"
