Thoughts on Kravtsov:
Kravtsov has got a problematic history with the Rangers (goes back a bit) but this in my opinion is the last straw for him and the organization. Kravtsov has suffered from the same issues that plagued Lias Andersson (attitude). Kravtsov did not make the final roster due to multiple reasons, and the main one was that Gallant did not think he was ready. Kravtsov should have taken the send down on the chin and thought of it as a development opportunity, but instead he played the primma donna card and now will be shipped. Kravtsov could have learned a few things from Chytil when he was sent down and played and worked his butt off in Hartford and earned a full-time roster spot as the Rangers 3C (who still has 2C potential) or even Jones, since Jones was open to the idea and said that he would work harder and become even better to earn a roster spot. Just my 2 cents on the situation. (the trade comes from an Arizona fan and I thought that it was alright for both sides [Arizona gets a talented player for a cheap price, I doubt the rangers can ship him for a lot more than that])

At first I thought the problem was with Lias Andersson, but he's come into LA has been a consummate professional and has earned himself a spot in the lineup after playing well in the AHL last season.

Kravtsov is the second player within the Rangers organization in the last couple years to have the same "attitude problem." I'm beginning to think that the problem is with the Rangers and not with the players.

None of this come from attitude it comes from the team not willing to put their kids in a position to succeed, its always been how the rangera operate, 3rd line or 3rd pair, very little PP time unless they have elite game breaking skill, goes back to Andersson

Rangers fans knew this, some people blamed Andersson because Quinn played him Brendan Smith and Micheal Haley and he wasn't giving results

I fully agree with MOST of the above write up...I've been saying any deal for him starts with a 1st...I guess I could live with a 2nd and 3rd- if the 2nd is a 2022 2nd...that pick will probably be between 33 and 40.
Unless the Rangers' interest is raised with some value coming back- there is no pressing need to trade him. And this is a contract year for him- to be followed with several RFA years...Krav holds no cards here other than go home and play...if that's what he chooses then good riddance...but doing it that way he may never sniff the NHL.

I disagree, Andersson did not earn a spot on the Rangers and was unwilling to work for it. Andersson has had this underlying issue (throwing a Silver Medal into the stands) and has matured while being in LA. I believe that the issue is that players have been told ever since they are 10 that they are the best, and suddenly they don't earn a spot and are no longer "the best" and are unwilling to adjust. But both situations have been very similar in the sense that a player refuses to report to the AHL after not making the team (doesn't sound like an organizational problem to me) and if it was an underlying issue in the organization, why would any young player stay there?

There is some truth in what you're saying here...NYR for years have **** on many young players, while "giving the key to City Hall" to undeserving veterans. Lias was put in an impossible position from day 1...the so called "NHL ready 18YO"...stupid way to put pressure on a young kid about to try playing thousands of miles from home. Buch was another example- was jerked around on a short leash for a few years until he finally emerged last year and may be a star still in the making for it. Gautier...as we speak is being jerked around. He makes mistakes- but that's what young players do...unfortunately he pays for his mistakes...he SHOULD be 2 or 3 RW- but will sit a lot so guys like Reaves and Hunt can occupy the lineup. As far as Krav- he may be following a similar path as others...but doing what he's doing is not helping himself. He'd best accept going to Hartford- try to look at it like Zac Jones did. Work his ass off and force his way back to NY so that he can show what he's capable of- in a contract year...he has all to lose in just going home

Andersson came to LA and was more than willing to report to the AHL, where he performed well, improved on the things he was asked to improve on, and has now earned himself a spot on the Kings' 3rd line, with quality linemates in Tkachev and Vilardi. The Kings have had no problems with his attitude whatsoever, even after sending him to the AHL last season.

The Kings are very clear with their prospects on where they stand and on how they can earn their spot in either the AHL or NHL lineup. I suspect that the reason why Rangers' prospects get ornery is because they're not given clear messages on their status or what they need to do before they can earn their spot on the team. That is an organizational failing.
