Yes, lets trade a guy we just signed to multiple years out of free agency and is literally exactly what we need plus some pretty decent picks to bolster the part of the team that wasn't the issue. We have a ton of good young NHL caliber defenseman and a good top 4. This is a pointless trade that also lands you over the cap with a 21 man roster

A) I don't see why Toronto does this, especially if they're expecting Sandin to really make a jump as a powerplay QB.

B) Tampa keen to try for a 3peat doesn't trade Sergy unless it's a significant add to the current roster. A late first, a defensive prospect who can't crack the NHL(and who's value is slowly dropping the longer her stays out) and a forward who probably doesn't crack Tampa's top 9. For Tampa's most improved player over the past 24 months.

I can see how you'd see value here but it's not what Tampa is looking for.
