theres 2 problems with torontos tandem though problem 1. can mrazek stay healthy and will he succeed in a lesser defence, carolina had a top top tier defence last year. and problem 2 can campbell do it again not saying he won't but many goalies have came in and have had an insane 1 year ex. hammond aka the hamburgular, tokarski, binnington( still starter quality but no were close to rookie season performances), and then kinda just disappeared especially with toronto playing in the atlantic div and having to face some offensive power houses like boston, florida, tampa and even montreal and ottawa have a solid o-core will campbell be able to replicate his performances

He's easily a top 20 centre and has a really strong case for top 15

1. The Leafs were better defensively than the Canes last year
2. The Leafs hired the Canes defensive coach so he will be used to playing behind that system

yes but look at the candian division compared to canes divison lol, the canadian division was by far the least competitive divison. toronto's hardest competition was winnipeg who is a just barely a top 10 team in the league canes had tampa and florida who are easily both top 6 teams the stars who would have been a top 10 team if it wasn't for seguin, radulov, bishop being hurt. edmonton wasn't competitive if mcdavid or draisaitl weren't scoring the team was screwed. just look back to 2 seasons ago when div's were normal toronto allowed more goals then buffalo, they were barely in the top 15 for defences that's how i rank toronto's defence as there team is pretty similiar to that. toronto's game plan isn't to shut down teams it is to outscore teams they can allow 4 goals a night because they have the star power to score 5 a night

The Canadian division wasn't weak offensively at all. Edmonton, Winnipeg and even Vancouver were all threats.
