I thought he was mia as in injured. His TOI was diverging from that of Raddysh. They're usually either on the same line or on the same PK pairing so I was wondering what was going on.

Look, it's frustrating that they couldn't hold on to a 3-0 lead, but all in all, when you're missing Kuch, Pointer, Stammer, and Joseph AND have Elliott in net with Vasi getting the night off, coming away with a shootout loss is pretty good. Vasi and Stammer should both be back Thursday, maybe Joseph too, and they'll look to get the Blues back then.

That was a solid win. The offense was clicking, the defense was excellent at even strength, the PK unit struggled a bit early on but came up big late in the game, Vasi was terrific-as-usual save for those 2 shots he had no chance on (that was a heck of a pass by Thomas to Saad for the 1st Blues goal), and Hedman lit it up (that first one was a freaking rocket and with the second it was amazing how open he was, he had all the time in the world to deke out Husso and made a perfect shot). Great win, now let's hope they tear it up on the road trip.

Tyler Johnson had the same disk replacement surgery that Eichel had. Hopefully he can be healthy come Chicago's visit to Tampa in April.

Estimated recovery time is 3 months, so that would indeed put him on pace to be back by then.

Fortier being able to slide on into the Killorn-Cirelli line somewhat seamlessly might make us more willing to part with Joseph if his next contract comes in too high for us.

Vasi has been spectacular tonight (not surprisingly, but still). He's the reason they're ahead right now-they're being outshot 30-13, and haven't really generated any serious chances aside from the beautiful Raddysh goal (Palat's was a fluke that bounced off Nosek on a cross-ice pass and went 5 hole on Swayman). Would be nice to get some insurance.

Edit: And...Lazar scores, tie game. That one took a funny bounce off the stanchion to set him up, but they can't keep giving up chances and expect them to not score eventually. Even as I type that Foligno came in on another rush. Can't make Vasi do all the work, need to get some offense going.

Vasi was the reason the Lightning still were in the game at that point. He was terrific, bailed them out when the Bruins were dominating in both possession and shots, stopping 37 of 39. Offense wasn't great for much of the night (save for Raddysh's highlight-reel shorthanded beauty), but woke up late in the 3rd and in OT before Stammer won it with that beauty of a slap shot. Let's hope they get going early tomorrow against the Flyers (which they'll probably need with Elliott likely in net).

Was talking to a Bruins fan today and casually mentioned that the bolts are without 90% of their finesse with Point and Kuch out. As the game.went on I started to wonder if maybe it was more than 90%.

For a team that was without "grit" three year ago we seem to have an abundance now.
