I'm fine with the contract. I may have put 5 or 6 years in my armchair GM teams, but I'm definitely not against an 8 year deal. Happy for Mika he won't have to think about it all year, and happy for us we can finally stop these trades and rumors and whatnot!

It'll be interesting if they choose to extend Strome as well, or if they'll be looking for Chytil to take over that spot next year, etc. I think a Strome deal waits until the offseason for sure. Fox probably waits as well.

As much as I have grown to love Strome's game, I just don't see how they could possibly fit him in financially for the long term.

You're already looking to extend Fox, Kakko and Kravtsov after this Season. Followed by K'Andre and Lafreniere after that.

Even if you Bridge everyone, that money still adds up. You're already left with the tall task of trying to move Trouba and Kreider by then.

Eichel is still a Sabre.

So either everyone was lowballing the Sabres, or the Rangers lowball offer was the only one on the table.

If you have money, you'll pay top dollar for a Lamborghini. But not for one that was just in a 10 car accident.

I know. It's really tough. I'll hold my spam teams for now until a Fox deal is brought up. But I do think it can be possible if you pass on Blais and Georgiev this offseason

However, Chytil is starting to look like he's ready for the increased role. He can't be the 3C forever. I agree I've really learned to like Strome as well, but even besides money, Chytil might be forcing him out the door

Dude I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people crap on everyone in our system and give long explanations about why they’re worthless. At least all that crap is finally done.

Why in the world would we want to give a handful of young studs and 1sts for invisible star, mia now for 1+yrs, plus "at least" another one, no neck, addadictome, Jack Hypeall, just to throw it all away and look like BUF???
