As a hawks fan. I’m gonna tell you to prentend like that LW doesn’t exist because he is a good center. Just not an ohmagherd 3OA pick good!!

We have Norris and Pinto while Strome will need a bit of a time to adjust to his new team.

So, that's why I have him as the #2 LW behind Stutzle.

Players that have netted their former teams a 2nd and a 3rd include Mattias Janmark, Viktor Arvidsson, Andrew Shaw, Andre Burakovsky, Gustav Nyquist and Mats Zucarello.

This make a lot more sense for Ottawa than just giving up on a blue-chip prospect after he played only 1 year in North America as a pro.

Defensemen take longer than forwards to develop, so there's absolutely no reason to just give up on him.

"Giving up on" classic biased rhetoric

It isn't giving up on anyone being traded for a quality player, and since the offer is light to begin with, Ottawa wins that other trade hands down.

While I’m not going to disrespect your facts and view, I just believe strome should only be traded for picks or straight up hockey trade.

You do realize it usually takes a minimum of 3 years to develop a prospect drafted high in the second round?

Not everyone is going to be as lucky as Shane Pinto.

Ottawa needs to compete sooner or later and maybe having a NHL ready player within 2 years like Lassi is better than having none.

Odds that a 2nd round pick plays more than a 100 NHL games are only 35%.

https://dobberprospects.com/2020/05/16/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities/

Lassi Thomson is the guy we drafted with a first round pick after getting burned with the Matt Duchene debacle.

And you give it up just like that?

If Strome is a quality player for you, I wonder who else would qualify.

Here's a question:

Is the difference between Lassi Thomson and a second round pick a 4th round pick?

In other words, does ...

Lassi Thomson - Ottawa's 2nd = Chicago's 4th?

Last time I checked, it costs another 2nd round pick minimum to go from 32nd overall to 19th overall.

And that's assuming Ottawa's 2nd for 2022 is 32nd overall, which it won't be.

I win the Dylan Strome trade hands down while you're getting fleeced.

Welcome to unignore lol
