I see people are still sleeping on Kyrou. He had the most 5v5 points out of anyone on STL or OTT last season (in the 9th-most 5v5 minutes of any of the fwds). Kyrou, Bellows, 1st for Tkachuk, if he doesn't want to sign a deal with OTT, isn't as terrible as it looks on the surface IMO.

Trading Brady Tkachuk, their future captain, for Kyrou+Bellows+Clutterbuck+1st with the additional cost of $7,5M halved in two years seems pretty bad return in my opinion.

I'd rather just keep Brady and negotiate a favorable contract for all participants.

Kyrou is good but not brady good. Senko adds pretty much nothing to this deal not to mention NYI declines. We arent interested in tarasenko.

1. He has a lot of potential, significantly more so than kyrou, and
2. He is a better player than kyrou playing on a much worse team.

While brady is overhyped this is still a pretty bad deal for OTT.

Kyrou had 12 points in his first 10 games on an unsustainable 20% shooting percentage. He had 23 points in his final 45 games on a still good 12.5% shooting percentage. He’s a mid 40’s winger, and the hype over this guy is hilarious.

Tarasenko is an old and broken down winger with a bad contract.

And top 10 in hits is nice and all but hits don't win games. Goals do. Hits help, but so many take it way out of perspective.

So yes I think it's ludicrous that a 50 point winger is turning down being the 7th highest paid left winger in the league. That's insane.

Its been fairly widely reported that's he's turned down 8*8. I am quite happy however to add the addendum that if the reported claims are false I take back my comments.

Its also been reported that clauses are an issue. My guess is as good as yours but I assume the 8x8 was just that, no clauses at all
