I don’t understand why everyone undervalues wood. Wood is a very fast player, he has great explosiveness, is a big physical presence, drives to the net to score goals and put up points, And can even kill penalties. Plus the devils aren’t looking to move him, he is also a leader. Why do people keep making awful trades where The value is not nearly enough to get wood

I like Wood, but understand why he may not be perceived as valuable as you may think.
He has been inconsistent throughout his career ... often has regressed after a presumed breakout season & had a tendency to make head scratching/bone headed plays early in his career. The hope in NJ is that the mature level of play he showed under Ruff continues & that he does not fall back to old habits, as he has done several times in the past. It's a fair concern based on his history.

As far as AGMs go, it's normal for fans to play less than sticker price, when acquiring talent.

I could see that lowering his value, but not as low as that trade, that is just giving a few pieces of very little value to aquire wood, it should be a bottom 6 power forward and maybe a pick depending on who the player is.
