Guentzel is 5 years older. He's not "finished" by any means but it'd be counter-productive for Ottawa as their core is currently aged around 20-22. They need most of their players to peak during the next 5-10 years to have a good contending window

Yes Guentzel has proven more in the NHL but keep in mind he started in the league at 22 y/o. Brady only played from 19 to 21 y/o so far...

Ottawa doesn't make this trade, they'll look at a younger piece who'll fit with their core
