Zero need for Drouin in EDM at his cap hit when Edmonton needs to find a way to pay both Yam and Pulju already.

Edmonton will be in a huge cap crunch next year. They've made their bets with Hyman and RNH and will need to find a way to fit Yamo and JP. Anything on the forward front will be tinkering with the bottom 6.

Im not totally sure Yamamoto has earned the job as of yet. I think Lavoie would be a much better long term bet.

Edmonton isn't making any trades that don't have equivalent cap coming back. Also Drouin would be buried on the 3rd or 4th line in Edmonton, not sure why they would pay a 2nd and dedicate $5.5M in cap space to a bottom-6 player - even if they could afford it (which they can't).

Yam maybe doesn't have it locked down long term yet but Lavoie still likely needs a full year in the AHL and the year after is unlikely to jump straight into a top 6 winger slot. Realistically looking at 2023/24 for him to really compete for that spot.
