We have at least 10 options better than him for our last roster spot. No thanks.

All too soft to play in the NHL while Pezzetta knows how to fight and hit

Not sure why folks put so much value in pre season games, which really mostly AHL staffed preseason games . But it's the usual theme, minor leaguers from other teams are so much than Leaf NHLers.

If he were good, Montreal would keep him.

We dont need him. We already got a similar player in Gabriel whose shown he can play in the NHL as an enforcer. Pezzeta on the other hand is gonna just be an AHL/ECHL player. Waste of a contract spot for us

    Pezzetta isn’t an enforcer.

But I agree he also isn’t an NHLer, and the Leafs have more 4th line forwards than most teams.

I love him, but I was surprised he even got an NHL contract this year. He’s more of a character guy for Laval, who never played higher than 4th line.

Honestly I was thinking why would Toronto want him?! He brings very little to the team other than 4th line energy, there are literally 100+ better players that have been on waivers over the last 4 or 5 days better that could have been claimed lol

Gabriel cannot play in the NHL as an enforcer. He's not even a 3rd liner in the AHL

Leafs did the same thing with gabriel for the marlies, yet people seem to think he can play in the bigs

He was one of the best player for Montreal when they played games against Toronto. Probably a bit more motivated against his hometown.

Calling him a goon or an enforcer is laughable at 190 pounds. He did hold is ground against Gabriel though...

He's an energy guy who likes to be an agitator/pest to wake up his team and throw opposite players off their game. Like Perry does so well.

The guy has way too much character to wear a Leafs Jersey 😂

If you took note of the games...it wasn't Montreal Canadiens against the Toronto Maple Leafs, it was the Laval Rocket against the Toronto Marlies.
Did compare him to Perr?. Cmon you can do better than that.

    Thank you Captain Obvious 😙

Perry is just the first name who came to me trying to describe what a pest player is...

I would also take the 23 year old over 33 year old Wayne Simmonds

Gabriel will play and no one is scared of guys like William Nylander and Mitch Marner. Leafs need more guys who can hit and fight, look at the Islanders

No one is scared of Gabriel because they can out skate him on their hands.
As far as the islanders they are good because of defensive hockey. No one is affraid of them either

Leafs are built for figure skating while the Islanders are built for playoff hockey
