This was my first year doing fantasy hockey and it's not looking so hot

Record: 4-11

My biggest mistake was not drafting enough centers (I didn't know faceoff wins counted)

Always look at the scoring to formulate a draft plan, rule n.1 or just be really good at picking up FA’s after the draft

Haha I'm the exact opposite. I'm 11-4.

Somehow I got Leon Draisitl at 3 though. That helps a lot.

Overall I think fantasy leagues are a bit of a fluke lol.

If for sure has some luck involved but I did go undefeated in our league last year during the reg season and won the playoffs while I'm currently 14-1 this year so there's also a strategy component

How are you? This has been a really fun season, so far! I would really liked to do this with you again next year. The thing I don’t like so much, is that the face-offs is so worthy (is that the word I’m looking for?) A 4th-line center, are often given you more points than a 2nd-line winger. Anyone agrees?
What about next year, Head-to-Head Each Category or Head-to-Head Most Categories? I have never tried it, so it might be a very bad idea.

Absolutely, it’s very helpful. But I think there might be a way to get it more realistic. Rantanen is the one who has the most point this far, who haven’t won more than 200 face-offs. He’s in 9th place in points in NHL, but just 37th spot in our league (much further down, if I also count goalies)

Even worse for Huberdeau (3rd in NHL, 56th in our league), or Gaudreau (5th in NHL, 103rd in our league).

The thing is points don’t represent everything so it might be a bit of trying to balance out the offensive and defensive part of the game, there’s no perfect setting for fantasy leagues
