take out Brady, Branny and a 2nd and OTT would consider it, Eichel has little to no value right now because of his injury and if he will ever recover from surgery if he ever gets it.

If we are trading for Eichel, he'll agree to the medical treatment we want.

Not the other way around.

No one is trading for him to just say "Nah Buffalo was right". A team will trade for him because they agree on the surgery path Eichel wants and they will do everything they can to support him so he is ready for NEXT year.

it's a risky move.

It's definitely a risky move.

And it would be a massive cost if we are unable to have his services until next year when his NMC kicks in.



I'm not familiar with the type of surgeries that Ottawa's team doctors would prescribe to its players.

All I can say is that both Eichel's camp and the team trading for him need to be on the same page over something like this.



This is not about implying whether Buffalo was right or wrong.

This is about making an acquisition that would be in the best interests of the Ottawa Senators.

And I don't feel this one is unfortunately.
