Okay, so you flip them. Just give us the pick value.

OTT accepts
I like it. And he's worth it. But what do the Caps do with their players? They should have that value by this year's deadline, for all the same reasons that Conor Brown will: even strength production, penalty klling, term remaining, low cap hits, and defense.
But if the Sens overpay Brady to buy up UFA years, Brady will not have the same trade value to WSH, which won't be able to afford him. Assuming he signs somewhere before the season, there has to be some risk involved. I could see WSH kicking in an extra 2nd, to compensate for the chance that Ott doesn't find the trades it wants.
Thanks for making a suggestion. Please keep the conversation going.

Not for that return
Okay. You mentioned McMichael in another thread, but a different Caps fan passed. I'm trying to keep the conversation going, because I think Tkachuk fits the Caps' team concept, and could be an interesting pickup for them. PLDGEY has an idea, above. How would you make all this work, under the cap, and in time for the season?
Does it take a goalie swap? Is there a B prospect on WSH's roster that could help Ottawa? What about an unsigned 2nd round RHD like Brent Johnson?
