In free agency, sure. I can't see any reason Guerin would give up any assets to get him as a rental, he's been pretty low profile on TDL deals so far with arguably a better chance at a Cup.

Speaking of which, I'd hope they just bring back Rask another year or move a random winger to center before giving up a prospect and a pair of 2nds for a center that doesn't make the team any better.

Unless Guerin and him were close, I can't see any reason Malkin would be interested in playing anywhere other than Pittsburgh at this point in his career. He's made his money, he's won a few Cups. Doesn't really seem like it would be worth it to go somewhere else at this point.

As a Hawks fan...at this point I would take it, but I'm not that happy about it.

We can get a lot more for Zucc. Yes, he will be 35 in 22-23 and yes, his 6 million AAV is not quite ideal, but it's only for two years so it's hardly an albatross-contract. Plus, the guy was on pace for 68 points had NHL played the full 82 game schedule. Zuccarello still has value, we shouldn't give him up for free.

Minnesota says no to both of these. Zuccarello is not a bad contract at all, that's terrible value for the Wild; and Strome isn't worth that much.
