thats laughable. No way Ottawa moves the face of the franchise. Calgary needs to focus on rebuilding and getting a young elite D and winger with a 1st rounder in the deepest draft is a great start

Odds Calgary considers it for Johnny tho?
(Not saying it’s the final package but as a base)

Formenton has been very impressive

Rather keep Formenton than a rental. If he plays in the top 6 he's probably good for 50 points. He has been a beast thus far when given the chance.

Yikes, how many bad takes can you have in 1 post?

"Face of the franchise?" Who do you think Tkachuk is?

"Calgary needs to focus on rebuilding?" Ironic, pretty sure you mean Ottawa

"Getting young elite D and wingers" That's literally what they have currently

I think they would, Ottawa wouldn't though since they aren't going to be competitive this year and he likely won't resign with them

True. Formenton is quite good and I like him a lot but Johnny has 100 point potential if he can find his game and confidence plus Johnny’s base talent is still visible (speed and hands etc)

Look, NHL21 is not realistic and I know you play a lot of it so listen up.

If you think, that in 3 years Tkachuk will be the better player between him and Stutzle, you're laughing. You'll see time jerseys everywhere in Ottawa compared to Brady ones.

Calgary has a huge chance of missing the playoffs in by far the worst division. Who re hires a coach they couldn't win with before? Great idea, like an Ex gf it defiantly won't end bad for a second time. Calgary has some of the worst prospect systems with an at best average team. You just lost your captain for noting, are likely losing Johnny hockey and no elite or up and coming centres to take over from Sean. Between you and Edmonton this offseason, I have no idea which team will be worse.

Ottawa is nearly done their rebuild, they have the prospects, they have the up and coming elite talent. If Ottawa was in Calgary's division, I would have them making the playoffs. I don't think any logical fan would say Calgary is going to have a better future than Ottawa right now.

Just go back to NHL 21 until 22 comes out, you're embrassing your self out here

If Brady signs relatively long term, then the trade makes sense for the Sens. Matthew can be a UFA in two seasons, so the Sens shouldn't give that up. But to have a unsigned Brady and a Matthew on the same team....that smells of trouble.

I havent owned an NHL game since 06 but ok crack out the pathetic attempt at insults all you want.

Tkachuk is a top 10 LW in the entire league, Stutzle becoming better than him in 3 years isn't exactly "likely"

Calgary missing the playoffs is based on what? Laughable take on Sutter too, he took a team that had 29 wins the year prior to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Calgary has 4 top 50 prospects, some teams don't even have 1. If you think they don't have any center prospects you've obviously never heard of Zary. Both Calgary and Edmonton have better odds of finishing above your team in the standings (I assume the Leafs, who will probably finish 4th in the Atlantic).

Laughable take on Ottawa making the playoffs in the West too, the only one embarrassing themselves here is you.

I'd love to see the tkachuk brothers play together as long as it's not in St. Louis where all the delusional blues fans think they'll go

I would love you to list 10 LWs better than Tkachuk. I really would.

Missing the playoffs based off little depth at the NHL level, mediocre D and a coaching style that fits 2010 not 2021. If your team is still having Lucic on the third line, your team has some problems.

As for the comments on the leafs sure that fine, I have no problem admitting the Leafs have huge holes aswell. But saying that Calgary is finishing in a higher division standing than the Leafs is an argument is laughable. Wow, Calgary finished in 3rd in the worst division in the league and Toronto only finished fourth in the best. Wow the flames are clearly superior. 3 > 4 any day.

The flames got worse this offseason and couldn't even win in the Canadian division last season. I have no faith in this team ever making a deep long impactful run. I look at this roster and don't see a spot outside of goalies that I would be comfortable with after 3 seasons of managing them.

I literally can't name 10 LW's better than Tkachuk... Hence why I said he is a top 10 LW in the league, lmao

Little depth at the NHL level? Like who? What players do they have on the roster that aren't NHL level? As for Lucic, he has played on the 4th line all preseason. No idea why you brought him up though considering he is an above replacement level player. Mediocre D? What rock do you live under, they have one of the better d-core's in the league.

How did the Flames get worse? Brett Ritchie was a top 6 regular last season, this year he is most likely a healthy scratch. Calgary have better odds at making a playoff run than Toronto.
