Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Waivers:
Grimaldi - Hasn't had a great camp. Was borderline waiver fodder last season. Can be productive but too many holes in his game
Benning - Hasn't had a great camp. Cheap contract can be completely buried if he makes it through waivers


Borderline:
Tomasino - I think he needs a little more time to cook in the AHL. Nothing to be ashamed of here. He's still extremely young and would be one of the first callups.
Novak and Pitlick - Novak gets sent down since he doesn't have to pass through waivers. Pitlick has had a good camp as well.
Glass - pretty decent camp. We're weak at C too so might as well keep him up.
Ingram - excellent camp. Possibly picked up in waivers if sent down. Make room and keep him up. Rittich hasn't had a great camp.
Afanasyev - He has had an excellent camp and one that needs to be paid attention to. Bring him up and give him a try out. If he fails, send him down to MIL. Bring Novak or Tomasino up if you're going to fill a roster spot or Luff up if you want a warm body for the pressbox.

Questions:
Sissons? Only played in one preseason game and had the lowest TOI of any skater. Is he injured? I personally want to trade him if all we're going to do is utilize him at 4C. Sissons is scratched b/c I haven't had a chance to really look at him on the ice this preseason. If he's good to go, I'd imagine Afanasyev gets sent down and pitlick up to 3rd rw. I'd do that b/c Afanasyev is waiver exempt.


If the team fails, deadline trades -
Cousins Harpur, Boro, Rittich - mid round picks 4th-5th
Grimaldi and Benning sent through waivers and possibly picked up. Either way little to no value in this scenario.
Forsberg and Ekholm if not extended by trade deadline.
