Description
Olofsson signs that contract in Buffalo which means that there is 3 years left on it and you can use him for 1-2 seasons then swap him for some picks and prospects. Then you have some exciting talent that is upandcoming. The D should hopefully be fine if the young guns can take the right steps and Vanecek will be a solid starter with Dubnyuk there because you need a backup but it is fine that he will suck as you want a high draft pick.

The tohugh process here is that that Bratt - Kuzy - Olofsson line can put some heat of the Ovi line and the top 6 overall is still really solid and can produce. Both Voracek and Backstrom are great playmakers that will feed Ovi the puck all they can so he can break that goal record. The 2nd line helps with that aswell.

BTW the Mantha contract is a 6 year deal but im too lazy to change it

How about this we remove the Devils 1st but keep Bratt and the coditions. You get a very potent player that has great size and that when on his game easily breaks the 30 goal mark and can be pretty close to ppg and also he comes with a 6 year 7m contract.

Have you ever watched Bratt play? He is the best player on the devils. Maybe this year it’ll be Hughes, but it was Bratt by far last year. Bratt is more valuable and WAY more consistent than mantha

The Devils, last year, were a bunch of prospects, a few old defensemen, and Palmieri. Every team has a best guy, and five guys who are in the top five on that team. Bratt was one of those guys. He's not getting Mantha without the Devils kicking in picks or another cheap, good, young player.

If you want a standard pick and a cap dump for the young guy, look at, like,... Kempny and a 2nd for.... I don't know. Who was your next best guy? smile

I would rather keep olofsson and jokiharju, and buy skinner out in 3 years. Cap space is absolutely meaningless, unless we are getting first round picks from other teams that wanna dump cap here. Nobody is signing with buffalo right now, unless its their only choice. And if its their only choice...

The Red Wings for the last few years were a bunch of prospects, a few old defensemen, and Larkin. Every team has a best guy, and five guys who are in the top five on that team. Mantha was one of those guys. He's not getting Bratt without the Caps kicking in picks or another cheap, good, young player.

Okay. I kinda think Hughes and Zacha were better last year than Bratt, but I'm not guessing either is available. Given that an Oilers fan posted the initial trade, I see no reason to think Mantha is, either.

At the trade deadline, Mantha was leading the Wings in points by a bit, but obviously Vrana finished stronger, after he demanded a trade and showed he can do more with more ice time, and Hronek is more valuable than either.

Giving away Olofsson and Jokiharju just to dump Skinner’s contract is not a good idea for Buffalo. They have no intention of being competitive this season, and probably not next season either. I don’t know what the hell you’re thinking, but Jason Botterill does not work for the Sabres anymore, so this ridiculous trade will never happen.

You clearly weren’t watching any devils hockey. It was not even a competition on who was their best player last year. It was Bratt period. Don’t know why ur trying to make an argument if ya don’t even know the best piece in the trade

I'd gladly do that trade for Wilson if it was right now, that's exactly what Avs need. Throw in Compher to Washington to make the cap work.

lmao, that sabre trade is one of the worst trades ive seen on here, and that is saying lots.

Yeah, a team that is barely on the cap floor is going to trade a first and joker to get rid of a contract they dont need to get rid of lol. I didnt realize pot was legalized in DC and you can buy the good **** there lmao

"buffalo wants to start to go for it soon" LMFAO. No they dont, they literally just traded reinhart, and are in the process of trading eichel. Da ****
this is in the 2023-2024 season. Everyone knows that they in a few years need to try to do something and they may now sign a big free agent with the money and try something

Giving away a top four defenseman and a top six forward who can score 30 goals instead of just buying out Jeff Skinner at that point is also stupid. Creating several holes in your lineup without filling any of them is not a great idea for a team that is trying to be competitive. What game changing free agent is going to want to sign with a team that just traded away what you’re suggesting here?

What makes you think the sabres would have an issue with the cap? This is one of the worst trades I've seen on here.
