which would be fair. Just the market for 2nd pairing Dmen is pretty set in that 1st 3rd...or 2 2nds type of trade.
Savard (1st 3rd), Toews (2 2nds) Brenden Dillon (2nd 3rd)... Ristolainen went for a 1st 2nd and Hagg...I tihnk thats way to much and Manson is clearly the better Dman

Anyway, regarding the trade for Savard - this was at the deadline and with 75% salary retention (via Detroit), which makes it much more costly.

Taking on the full cap hit of a player for a whole season is worth less. A 1st round pick is definitely off the table for Manson. I think a 2nd rounder is fair as the centerpiece, add in a decent prospect and perhaps a roster player if ANA has an opening/need for one.

I wonder if they would take Hamonic and a 2nd for Manson with no salary retention? They was a rumor that Hamonic now wants to play in the States, no idea if it's true or not.

Yeah it's total speculation as far as I can see. Hamonic may well play for VAN this season and a trade for a replacement becomes unnecessary.
