Absolutely! He’s been impressive thus far, whereas with Gambrell we know he tops out at 4C at best with little to no scoring. Weatherby has scored in the rookie faceoff and in the preseason already and is all around the front of the net.

Yup, Weatherby has been great. Super impressive for a kid many thought had zero nhl upside. Now he’s easily my 4C, by a large margin.

Id love to see Eklund have another year of development personally because adding a little more size and strength to his unreal toolset is scary sounding. Either way this kids so fun to watch, makin preseason very enjoyable.

Eklund looks so good! Given it’s only preseason. But there is a lot to like about his game. His puck control and hockey iq is off the charts. With ek9’s return questionable at best. There will be plenty of top 6 minutes to play for. Personally I would start merkley in the bottom pairing as i think he has a higher ceiling but Whatever gives us the better chance to win right?

I would only change Balcers and Barabanov spot, I think Hertl - Barabanov had some chemistry that would be great to see if it still works out.
