"Deserves" might be a stretch, but agree he should be given the opportunity. Like the fact you had him with Muzzin, which might be the best place for him. Gotta think Muzzin, Brodie and Holl will get plenty of PK time. Leafs are hoping either Liljegren, Sandin can step up and be a dependable fourth guy. Reilly really has been sheltered from PK minutes.

Rightfully so, Rielly is terrible on the PK.

I would certainly say liljegren has earned the opportunity. He has done everything the organization has asked of him. He plays a physical 2way game. Might be one of the best break out passers in this team.

The issue with sitting Dermott is exactly what you pointed out. We need a 4th pk guy. I hope Lilly can do that. He has the tools.

I've paid attention to Liljegren but he can't judge his NHL play but his good progress in the AHL and a couple of NHL/AHL pre season games. And certainly he has nothing to show he is an upgrade on over Holl.Holl is 20 minutes a night guy, plays hard minutes often against the opposition's top lines and he kills penalties.

Man... it's preseason. These games don't mean nearly as much as you're making them out to be.

Right now I'm just not counting Lilijegren as a regular in the lineup come regular season games. He should be the first guy called up if/when there's injuries to the D-core.
