Healthy scratching prospects is not ideal. I think a good pre-season performance from Rees/Drury just makes sure that they are the first call-up in the case of injury, despite Rod's history of liking fully developed "hard working" call ups.
I think Drury, Rees, and to a lesser extent Suzuki are all ready for the NHL, but it will take 4 really good games for Rod to even be on the fence about going with them over the proven talent. Plus I only see one spot open honestly, think Leivo is in the most danger of getting beat out because Rod might not be as comfortable with him
