I think Mercer makes the team as a center...or goes to AHL as a center.

Add a 1st going to Ottawa cuz thats the only way that we accept. csnt see any team wanting to pick up that contract.

The chances are slim that both Holtz and Mercer make the team out of camp this year. I would also give Johnsson a chance to perform in the bottom 6 with a full training camp and regular season. My last point is that they should be done with trying Zacha at center. Mercer/Boqvist/McLeod can all fill that 3C spot so Zacha doesn’t need to be there. Have him play on the wing where he is more productive

Yea, AJ would need to be sent out with something, it's not worth it. The Devils have plenty of cap room...worst case he sits if someone for sure beats him out for ice time.

I really hope they keep Mercer at Center... he should / could be long term solution at 3C. Two years down the road, they could roll three strong lines, with Hughes Hischier Mercer down the middle.
