Unless BUF lets Eichel go for a real light return...I'd say lets shelf the Eichel talks until he's seen on the ice...which doesn't seem to be any time soon. And if they let him go for a minuscule return- my guess is he'll be going west. BUF most likely will sit tight...no rush for them to sell him now at bottom dollar.

If the Sabres proceed to tank Eichel's value, you shouldn't then proceed to ADD more to the trade.

No he doesn’t have that control yet. However a playoff team will most likely trade for him though and keep him on LTIR.

Eichel cant dictate where he goes for 5 more years. If he really wants out he's going to waive his NMC, hes not going to limit the teams Buffalo can make a deal with, because Adams has made it clear hes not going to dump him to just get rid of him and the Pegula's dont want another ROR trade

I get what you're saying but I can't imagine Adams is stupid enough to keep eichel on a team he doesn't want to play for. It just kills the locker room morale and let's be real, Adams isn't gonna be GM for the 5 years left on eichels deal. He'll be lucky to make it 3 years. He's better off taking the best offer he can get now. Yeah he probably loses the trade but atleast everyone can move on and he can build a team around his young guys.

He isnt getting surgery unless its the disc surgery he wants. Buffalo docs and gm have both said they will only sign off on the fusion which Eichel refuses to get. once next offseason hits he has a full nmc. buffalo isnt going to pay him 10m to be a pain in the ass. What playoff team is going to fork up the cost to acquire a guy that needs neck surgery. Buffalo is asking too much. like i said they botched the trade. had to move him this offseason and it hasnt happened. the further we go into the season the less they will get.

Him losing the C doesn't do anything for what kind of return the Sabres can expect. The same core issue is still there, which is the team trading for him has no idea what they're getting and the Sabres don't want to trade him for pennies on the dollar. A letter on his jersey doesn't change those facts. lol

I mean its pretty clear neither side wants him in a Sabre uni. theres a very slim chance that he'll ever put on the Sabres jersey again, unless its a condition to facilitate a trade.

whats makes you say that? the public trade request? or the fact the team has leaked multiple offers for him? if the team wanted to keep him around they would have let him get the surgery he wanted.
